When sending direct messages across platforms, sometimes membership and messaging limitations need to be addressed.

Mio currently supports the lowest maximum membership limit of the platforms that you choose to sync. For instance:

  • If you use Mio to sync your Slack and Webex groups, and your Slack channel has 5,000 people, but your Cisco Webex channel has a 2,000 person limit, Mio sticks to the 2,000 person limit.
  • If you have a Slack channel with more than 5,000 members, or you're syncing Slack with Microsoft Teams and have a channel with more than 5,000 members, you'll need to discuss your options with the Mio support team.

If you're using auto-sync in Slack, your Webex Teams and Microsoft Teams users won't contribute to the Slack membership count in channels or anywhere else. Mio automatically provisions bots for those users in Slack, so they'll show up under Apps.

By sticking with the lowest limitation, we can ensure that you don't go over your allowance for any channel.
