Mio needs a few permissions to connect your users and channels securely.

When you begin using Mio, we'll guide you through the permissions required for each messaging app, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex Teams. 

Slack

  • Admin: To manage your workspaces
  • Channels: History: To view public channel files, activity and messages
  • Channels: Read: To see channel names, topics, purposes, member lists and messages
  • Chat: Write: Bot: To send messages via your Slack app
  • Chat: Write: User: To deliver direct messages from individual users
  • Files: Read: To view files and provide them to the correct people securely
  • Files: Write: User: To edit, add, and delete files or file comments
  • Groups: History: To view and manage content in private channels
  • Groups: Read: To view private channel member lists, names, purposes, topics and more.
  • Groups: Write: To rename, archive and change the purpose or topic
  • IM: History: To view messages, files, and activity in direct messages
  • IM: Read: To view the names of users
  • IM: Write: To send direct messages to members using Slack
  • MPIM: History: To view messages and files in group messages
  • MPIM: Read: To see the names of people in group messages
  • MPIM: Write: To initiate group direct messages
  • Reactions: Read: To view workspace emoji reactions
  • Reactions: Write: To remove and add emoji reactions

Cisco Webex Teams

  • Spark: People_Read: To read user company directory files
  • Spark-Admin: Roles_Read: To understand roles in your organization¬†
  • Spark: All: For full secure access to your Webex Teams account
