How would this affect their user experience?

Once an employee syncs their account with Mio, we don't recommend them using both chat apps because it would disrupt the seamless experience that the Mio solution intends to provide.

As of Q4 2019, read receipts APIs are not available for messaging platforms. Therefore, an employee who is logged in to both chat apps will receive notifications in both.

How would this affect billing on my chat apps?

If an employee was previously using two chat apps before syncing with Mio, it would not affect the billing/licensing costs your company pays for that employee on those chat apps.

While Mio only charges based on the number of people who require interoperability, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Webex Teams each have their own billing policies.

When planning your Mio cross-platform provisioning and syncing strategy, your Mio customer success manager will work with you to find a solution that fits your needs and budget.
