Before installing Mio on Webex, please check the following settings to ensure your end users can use the app for cross-platform communication.

Webex Control Hub

The following settings are accessible by Webex admins only.

  1. Go to your Webex admin settings: https://admin.webex.com/settings.

  2. Scroll down to the section that says External Communication.

  3. Under External messaging, select Allow all external messaging or Allow all domains except the blocked domains.

  • If you need to select Allow selected domains only, add the m.io domain under Allow domains for external messaging instead.

Create a test team and space

Step 1

Sign in to Webex with the service account you created earlier.

Click the 2nd icon on the left and then + to create a new team.

Step 2

Name the team “Mio Webex Team” and click Create.

Add any other test users as members of the team.

Test users should only be represented on one platform (do not add the same test user to Microsoft Teams or Slack).

Step 3

Click + Create a space for this team.

Name the space “Native Webex Space”.

Create a second space called “Existing space”.

That's it! You are now ready to import your test spaces and users in the Mio Hub.
