Before installing Mio on Zoom, please check the following settings to ensure your end users can use the app for cross-platform communication.

  2. Create a Zoom Team Chat test channel


Zoom admin settings

Step 1

Sign in to your Zoom account at https://zoom.us/signin

Step 2

Under the Account Management drop-down, navigate to Account Settings and click the Zoom Team Chat tab.

Step 3

Click or scroll down to Security.

Turn Enable advanced chat encryption OFF.

Turn Allow bots to participate in chats and channels ON.

Step 4

Click or scroll down to Storage.

Under Cloud storage, select Zoom Cloud.


Create a Zoom Team Chat test channel

Step 1

Open Zoom. Navigate to Chat in the top bar.

Step 2

Click on the + next to Channels, then select Create a Channel from the dropdown menu.

Step 3

Name your channel "Native Zoom Team Chat Channel." Click Create Channel.

Step 4

Repeat Step 2 to create another channel. Name this channel "Existing Channel."

Step 5

Add any test users as members of the channel.

That's it! You are now ready to import your Zoom Team Chat test channel into the Mio hub.
