What is the Connect Center?

The Connect Center in the Mio Hub consists of Platform Settings and Connect Platforms.

Beginning in Platform Settings, follow the steps to configure settings for chat interoperability.

After platform settings have been correctly configured, visit Connect Platforms to add Mio to your organization's platforms.

Configure your admin settings for Zoom Team Chat

You must be the platform admin in order to configure platform settings. If you are not the platform admin, refer to the tip at the bottom of this section.

Step 1

Sign in with your admin account at m.io/signin.

Step 2

On the left sidebar, navigate to the Connect Center.

Step 3

Click Platform Settings.

Step 4

Ensure that your settings in Zoom Team Chat are updated, or Mio may not work as intended.

Tick the checkbox after your Zoom Team Chat settings have been configured.

  • TIP: If you are not the platform admin, click invite a colleague at the bottom of the page. Mio will give you the option to input your admin's email and will send a message inviting them to set up and configure platforms.

Step 5

Click Continue to Platforms.

Connect Zoom to Mio

Connect Platforms requires at least two platforms to proceed. In this example, we will add Zoom first.

Configure Platform Settings before proceeding with these steps.

Step 1

Click Connect Platform next to Zoom.

Step 4

Once you sign in with your Zoom admin account, Mio will request access to scopes that will allow us to see a list of teams that we will need to sync with later on.

Toggle the Approve for all users setting to ON.

  • Note: You may limit the users who can install this app by pre-creating a group in Zoom admin settings. Then, on the app listing page, add the IM group that is allowed to install the app to the drop down settings.

  • Ensure that Chat visibility after added is turned to ON for all users.

Click Accept.

For more information on the scopes we request for Zoom, see the below article:

That's it! You're now ready to either import a second platform (Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Webex). Once a second platform is imported, you may proceed to sync channels or users for direct messaging.

Disconnect your Zoom Team Chat workspace from Mio

Step 1

Navigate to the Connect Center in the left sidebar. Select Connect Platforms.

Step 2

Click the three-dot icon to the right of Zoom Team Chat. Select Disconnect Platform.

Step 3

Confirm the platform disconnect to unsync and delete all Zoom Team Chat users from the Mio database. Note that these users will no longer be able to send messages across platforms.
